The experts sure seem to think so

If you believe the experts, then expect Ziaire Williams to commit to the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday. Ever since the 5-star prospect announced Saturday that he will be making his college decision on Easter, recruiting analysts have overwhelmingly predicted he will be heading to Palo Alto.

Six 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions were submitted Saturday, and five have Williams going to Stanford. The other has him picking to USC. One Rivals.com expert also has picked USC for Williams. His other finalists are UCLA, North Carolina, Arizona, Oregon and Duke.

The 6-foot-7 Williams is the No. 5 player in the 2020 class, easily the top-ranked high school recruit remaining on Arizona’s recruiting board. He would start right away for the Wildcats, likely at the 3.

Should the Wildcats whiff on him, they would shift their attention to 4-star shooting guard Kerwin Walton, who is set to choose between Arizona, Creighton, Georgetown, Minnesota, North Carolina and Vanderbilt on April 25.

If Arizona cannot land Walton, who was recently predicted to commit to North Carolina by Rivals.com’s Eric Bossi, then the Wildcats will have to continue their hard pursuit in the transfer market.

Arizona has four scholarship slots to fill after Josh Green declared for the NBA Draft on Friday. Purdue center Matt Haarms and San Francisco wing Charles Minlend are two graduate transfers the Wildcats are in the running for.
