Kahi Neves to Arizona: 3-star linebacker enrolls early with Wildcats over Utah

The former QB will instantly become one of Arizona's biggest linebackers

The Arizona Wildcats have added a big piece to their linebacker corps with the signing of 3-star linebacker Kahi Neves. Literally. Neves stands at 6-foot-3 and nearly 240 pounds.

Neves, who hails from Utah, was once committed to the Utah Utes. However, he was committed to Utah as a quarterback, and he figured that his best chance to have a successful college career was as a linebacker and Arizona was recruiting him as such, thus his decision to be a Wildcat.

He played quarterback in his senior year at Timpview High School in Provo, UT, but shifting to linebacker will be a familiar change for him. He played linebacker in his junior year at Brighton High School in Salt Lake City.

He was ranked as the No. 50 linebacker in the country, according to 247sports, and the fifth-best player in Utah. You can read some more in-depth analysis about Neves here that we posted shortly after he committed.

One important thing to note is that Neves has already enrolled in school, so he's already on campus and will participate in spring practice.

And here are Neves' highlights from his junior year (the last time he played LB, of course):
