Arizona football recruiting: Josh Allen commits to Wildcats again

The former Arizona commit will end up signing with Arizona after all

The Arizona Wildcats landed the commitment of a former Arizona commit, Josh Allen, 3-star defensive end out of Long Beach City College. He was ranked as one of the top defensive ends in the junior college ranks and committed to Arizona late in July while in Tucson.

Things changed in October when his recruitment started to blow up. USC, Alabama and Texas were all allegedly hitting him up, which in turn caused him to re-open his recruitment process. Weeks went by and not much progress was made with those schools. He started flirting with UCLA, Washington State and Miami, with Arizona still in the mix through it all. He had allegedly received recent offers from LSU, Texas A&M, among others as well.

While his commitment to Arizona is a huge get for the program at this point in time, it's a shame that he had to decommit in the first place. Had he been committed this entire time, he would have been able to enroll early and join the team this semester. He even sat out his sophomore year in order to obtain another year of eligibility at Arizona. Months after decommitting, he will end up signing with Arizona Wednesday, some good news for the defensive line and their future.

His highlights from Long Beach City College are below.
