Bryson Cain to Arizona: OT recruit signs with Wildcats

Bringin' the Cain

The 2016 recruiting class saw the Arizona Wildcats pick up key pieces in the trenches, particularly along the offensive line. Bryson Cain, a 247Composite 3-star recruit out of Great Oak High School in Temecula, CA, is poised to infuse some much-needed assistance up front for the Wildcats.

Cain, along with fellow OL recruit Michael Eletise, constitute the building blocks on which Rich Rodriguez's high-powered offense will be founded.

Coming in at 6'5" and 265 lbs, Bryson Cain is no slouch in the size department, but his workout videos show off his ability to move.

It's always encouraging to see a guy playing left tackle who has the speed to move outside, coupled with the strength to put his defender on the ground.

Though not heavily recruited, Cain still received a fair share of interest, garnering offers from San Diego State, Washington State, Nevada, Army, and Kansas.

Given the proverbial opening of the floodgates for Arizona recruiting this off season, hanging on to a guy like Bryson Cain may prove to be pivotal. With the injury history of Anu Solomon and Nick Wilson, winning the battle in the trenches is an obvious key to Arizona maintaining any level of competitiveness. Losing three seniors from the two-deep on the OL from last year is not ideal, so Cain may prove to be integral to the offense in 2016 and beyond.
