Isaiah Hayes to Arizona: 3-star cornerback signs with Wildcats, already enrolled

Arizona adds, what could be, a key cog to the recruiting class

The Arizona Wildcats ranked 114th against the pass this past season. So, shoring up the secondary is more than likely a top priority for Rich Rodriguez and his crew. Adding three-star cornerback recruit Isaiah Hayes from Calabasas, CA will certainly help.

Hayes has football running through his veins. He's the son of former NFL safety, Chris Hayes and the brother of Chris Hayes, Jr, a current cornerback for Oregon State.

The 6'0" California kid loves to play a physical style and he's not afraid of contact. He had 90 tackles in addition to four interceptions in his senior year at Calabasas High School.

Arizona has had Hayes' commitment for quite some time now, dating back to mid-June of last year, when they fended off Boise State, Wisconsin and Texas A&M to snag this prospect. As of January 13th, Isaiah Hayes is already enrolled and ready to go for the University of Arizona. That means he'll practice with the team this spring, and get a leg up on other freshmen coming in looking for playing time in 2016.

Hayes has average size and speed, but makes up for that with fantastic instincts and very good coverage skills. He can help Arizona's secondary issues right away, as seen in the video below.
