Arizona football recruiting: Safety Isaiah Hayes commits to Wildcats

The sixth commitment in 2016 for Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats picked up their sixth commitment of the 2016 class on Wednesday when Isaiah Hayes gave his pledge to the UA coaching staff.

Rated a three-star prospect by both Scout and 247 out of Calabasas HS (CA), Hayes was once committed to Boise State, but decomitted on May 29th. He went on an unofficial visit to Arizona back in March.

His dad, Chris Hayes, played at Washington State, and his brother Chris Jr. currently attends Oregon State.

The elder Chris went on to play defensive back in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers (1996), New York Jets (1997-2001) and New England Patriots (2002). His only career interception came in 2000, and all 19 of his career tackles came in 2001-02.

According to 247, Isaiah Hayes' only other Pac-12 offer has come from Utah. Another Calabasas DB, Marquel Dismuke, just decommitted from Cal. Something to it?

Anyways, here are Hayes' junior year highlights from Hudl:
