Arizona baseball: Head coach Andy Lopez announces retirement
And so begins a new chapter of Arizona Baseball.
The Arizona Wildcats announced Monday morning that head coach Andy Lopez will retire from his head coaching duties.
Since winning the 2012 National Championship, Arizona has not been back to the postseason, finishing with just a 12-18 record in Pac-12 play this season.
Coach has been at Arizona for the past 14 years after coming to Tucson from Florida. He was also the head coach and Pepperdine and Cal State Dominguez Hills before becoming the head man for the Wildcats.
More to come later as he is scheduled to meet with media at 11 am Monday morning.
