Early Signing Period: 3-star DE Sylvain Yondjouen flips from Arizona to Georgia Tech

A late official visit swayed him away

The Arizona Wildcats have lost out an intriguing international prospect, Sylvain Yondjouen, to Georgia Tech after taking an official visit this past week.

Youndjouen is very new to football, but a freak of an athlete at 6-foot-4, 235 pounds. Scouts have fallen in love with the potential, and he held offers to Cincinnati, Colorado and Virginia, among others. Many in the European circuit believe he is one of the greatest prospects to come out of the region.

He would have the luxary to enter the program and continue to develop under Coach Iona on the defensive line, holding five years of eligibility.

The defensive line added two junior college prospects Trevon Mason and Myles Tapusoa, as well as high school prospect Kane Bradford.

It will be interesting to watch how Yondjouen develops, as he had very little experience and played against very poor competition, but was an ultimate lottery ticket gamble with Myles Garrett potential.
