Jennie Finch a contestant on Dancing with the Stars

The former Arizona Wildcat will have another chance to add to her trophy collection

Jennie Finch is no stranger to the entertainment business.

The University of Arizona softball legend has appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice, Pros vs. Joes, and even an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange Country.

Now she’s going to be featured in an athletes version of Dancing with the Stars.

Finch was one of 10 athletes selected to be in the show. The other nine are figure skaters Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon, and Mirai Nagasu, snowboarder Jamie Anderson, former NBA star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, luger Chris Mazdzer, former MLB player Johnny Damon, and NFL cornerback Josh Norman.

Based on Finch’s tweet, it appears her dance partner will be Keo Motsepe, a regular who has been part of seven of the last eight seasons of Dancing with the Stars.

Motsepe has won the competition three times. His partners those times Lolo Jones, Chaka Khan, and Barbara Corcoran. His victory with Corcoran just happened this past season.

Here’s how Dancing with the Stars works if you’re not familiar with it (per a press release from USA Softball):

Dancing with the Stars, which enters its 26th season, kicks off with each of the 10 athletes being paired up with a pro dancer, then follows their preparation and hard work as they hit the dance floor for the most competitive season ever. Each week these athletes will leave their comfort zones and endure hours of grueling rehearsals to master new dance styles and technical choreography to perform a dance. A panel of ballroom experts will judge the competitive dances and along with viewer votes, those scores will determine who advances in the competition. In the end, only one athlete will rise above the rest to be crowned champion and win the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Finch won two Olympic medals and a College World Series during a softball career, and now she will have a chance to add more hardware to her collection, starting April 30 at 8 p.m. PT on ABC.
