James Akinjo moves up Arizona official visit, cancels Tennessee visit
The 4-star point guard will now visit Tucson this weekend instead of next weekend
Change of plans.
Four-star point guard James Akinjo will officially visit the Arizona Wildcats this weekend instead of next weekend, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.com.
Akinjo was originally scheduled to visit Tennessee this weekend. He visited Georgetown last weekend.

The 6-0, 160-pound product from Salesian High School in Richmond, California is the No. 95 player in the 2018 class and No. 17 point guard, per 247Sports composite rankings.
Akinjo initially signed to play for the UConn Huskies, but he was released from his National Letter of Intent after the school parted ways with now-former head coach Kevin Ollie.
Arizona still has up to six scholarships slots left to fill this offseason, and point guard is one extreme area of need as the Wildcats are only set to return Alex Barcello, a sparsely-used freshman, at the position.
Arizona’s recruiting class, which consists of four-star shooting guard Devonaire Doutrive, currently ranks 101st in the country, but it would jump to 46th if it lands Akinjo, per 247Sports’ class calculator.
