2018 guard Devonaire Doutrive officially visiting Arizona

Is a commitment coming soon?

The Arizona Wildcats currently have zero 2018 commits, but that could change real soon.

Four-star guard Devonaire Doutrive is officially visiting the UA this week, according to 247Sports.

Head coach Sean Miller visited Doutrive, a Southern California native, twice in late March so it appears Arizona is making significant headway in his recruitment.

A 6-foot-5 guard, Doutrive is the No. 82 player in his class and No. 16 shooting guard. He also has offers from Georgetown, Arizona State, and UNLV.

All five predictions in 247Sports’ Crystal Ball have him choosing Arizona.

While not an elite prospect, Arizona has seven scholarship slots to fill so it needs any talent it can get right now — and landing a top-100 prospect would be nothing to scoff at.

Plus, a pledge from Doutrive could start a domino effect that leads to other commitments.

Arizona is also pursuing four-star point guards Brandon Williams and James Akinjo, along with five-star forward Jordan Brown and three-star center Lukas Kisunas.
