Arizona Wildcats in NBA Summer League: Lauri Markkanen, Kaleb Tarczewski done in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Summer League came to a close for two ex-Wildcats on Friday, but several others resume play Saturday

Las Vegas Summer league is over for Lauri Markkanen and Kaleb Tarczewski.

Their respective teams played their one (and only) consolation round game Friday, and neither former Wildcat saw the floor.

Markkanen sat out the Chicago Bulls’ finale with a toe contusion, while Tarczewski got another DNP-coaches decision for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Here are their final per-game stats in Las Vegas Summer League:

Markkanen (three games) — 14.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 32.8 minutes, 12-41 FG (29.3%), 6-25 3PT (24.0%), 12-13 FT (92.3%)

Tarczewski (two games) — 6.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 10.0 minutes, 3-5 FG, 2-2 FT

Third round of playoffs takes places Saturday

The only games played in LVSL on Friday were consolation games, but the playoffs resume Saturday.

Here’s which former Arizona Wildcats are in action in the quarterfinals:

Nick Johnson and the Portland Trail Blazers face the San Antonio Spurs at 1 p.m. PT (ESPN2).

Johnson has scored in double figures in three straight games, and Thursday he led Portland with 17 points in a win over the Toronto Raptors.

Kobi Simmons and the Memphis Grizzlies take on the Miami Heat at 3 p.m. PT (ESPN2).

Brandon Ashley and the Dallas Mavericks take on Kadeem Allen and the Boston Celtics at 5 p.m. PT (ESPN2).

Gabe York and the Los Angeles Lakers face Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. PT (ESPNU).

It’s win or go home for the rest of the tournament, which ends July 17.
