Friday is reserved for the consolation round

Friday is an off day for teams in the winner’s bracket, but there will be still be a consolation round.

The only ex-Wildcats playing in it are Kaleb Tarczewski and Lauri Markkanen — and they face each other.

Markkanen and the Chicago Bulls take on Tarczewski and the Philadelphia 76ers at 5:30 p.m. PT (NBA TV).

There is a decent chance that neither one plays.

Markkanen sat out Wednesday’s game with a toe injury, while Tarczewski has gotten two DNP-CDs in the last two games.

No matter the result, Summer League will come to a close for both of them Friday, as as the consolation round is a one-day, one-game event.

Round 3 of the Summer League playoffs resume Saturday.
