Arizona football recruiting: Wildcats offer 2-star safety Gavin Robertson

Arizona continuing to scout the secondary

Throughout the month of May, Arizona has made it clear that they want to reload at the safety position. In a base 3-3-5 defense, Arizona plays three safeties (free, bandit and spur). With William ParksJamar Allah and Anthony Lopez all departing after this season, it's a clear concern going forward.

This leads us to Gavin Robertson, a 2-star safety who was just offered last week. Out of Auburn Mountainview (Auburn, WA), Robertson ranks 17th in the state of Washington, ranked 117th among all safeties. At 6-2 190lbs, he holds offers to Arizona, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.

Arizona has been recruiting out of Washington quite a bit this offseason and currently have two Washington products on their roster with Marcus Griffin and Sir Thomas Jackson.

He works up top at the free safety position but plays more like a bandit, the hybrid linebacker/safety spot. His junior year highlights are below.
