Johnson appeared in 41 games with the club last season, starting in 25 games and averaging 11.6 points, 4.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3.
Türk Telekom went 11-12 in the BSL last season and is currently 4-1. Former Gonzaga forward Kyle Wiltjer and former Wisconsin star/Arizona nemesis Sam Dekker are also on the roster.
After being selected in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft, Johnson’s pro career has taken him all over the globe.
He spent one season with the Houston Rockets, three seasons with G League’s Austin Spurs, a season with Germany’s Bayern Munich, part of a season with the G League’s Wisconsin Herd, and part of a season with Paris’ Nanterre 92 before landing with Türk Telekom.
Johnson left Arizona after his junior season after leading Arizona to the 2014 Elite Eight. He was a consensus first-team All-American and the Pac-12 Player of the Year that season after averaging 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists while also making the conference’s all-defensive team.
