Another former Arizona Wildcats standout will be back in action on NFL Sundays, coming back just in time for a showdown of unbeaten teams.
Defensive back Dane Cruikshank, who has yet to play this season because of a undisclosed injury, was activated off the Tennessee Titans’ injured reserve on Saturday after returning to practice on Oct. 15. In doing so, he would be eligible to play in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 25-year-old Cruikshank, who Tennessee drafted in the fifth round in 2018, has appeared in 28 games with the Titans including all 16 last year. He has 21 career tackles, mostly on special teams, and also had a 66-yard touchdown catch on a fake punt in 2018.
Cruikshank played for Arizona from 2015-17 after starting his career at a junior college. He started 25 games over the final two seasons, moving from cornerback to safety his senior year and tallying 108 tackles and five interceptions in his UA career.
