The Arizona Wildcats were fairly late to the party when it came to recruiting Angelo Brizzi, only offering the 3-star point guard from the Class of 2021 in late May. But despite the delayed interest, that offer has made an impact.
Brizzi has included Arizona in his top eight, which he announced Tuesday on Twitter:

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Brizzi is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 117 player in the 2021 recruiting class, as well as the 19th-best point guard in the country and the No. 4 prospect from Virginia. He also included Pac-12 schools Cal and Colorado among his top choices along with Dartmouth, Davidson, Michigan, Northwestern and Villanova.
Arizona is still looking for its first commitment from 2021. It didn’t get the first of seven pledges for what ended up being a top-5 2020 recruiting class until July 23 when Phoenix wing Dalen Terry committed.
Below are Brizzi’s highlights from the 2019-20 season at Highland High School in Warrenton, Va.
