While games have been taken away from the Arizona Wildcats’ current football schedule, the school continues to add matchups to future slates.
According to FBSSchedules.com, Arizona has agreed to host Weber State during the 2025 season. The game is set for Sept. 6, 2025 and would serve as the UA’s home opener, a week after playing at Hawaii and a week before hosting Kansas State.
Arizona has never faced Weber State, an FCS school from Utah, but the Big Sky member regularly plays Pac-12 teams. The Wildcats—Weber, not Arizona—lost at Utah to open the 2018 season, fell at Cal in 2017 and lost at Oregon State in 2015 and has future games at Utah in 2021 and 2023 and at Washington in 2024.
Because Arizona plays at Hawaii it technically can add another nonconference game to the 2025 schedule, though it passed on that opportunity last year. If that’s the case again here then the Wildcats will have filled out their non-league slots for five of the next seven seasons starting in 2021. Single slots remain open in 2024, 2026 and 2028 while multiple openings exist after that.
Some shuffling could be in the works, though, with the recent cancellations of 2020 matchups vs. Hawaii and Portland State and at Texas Tech due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Here’s a rundown of all the nonconference games Arizona has scheduled through **checks notes** 2033:
2021: BYU (in Las Vegas), San Diego State, Northern Arizona
2022: at San Diego State, Mississippi State, North Dakota State
2023: NAU, at Mississippi State, UTEP
2024: NAU, at Kansas State
2025: at Hawaii, Weber State, Kansas State
2026: NAU, at BYU
2027: at Colorado State, BYU, NAU
2028: Colorado State, at Nebraska
2029: Virginia Tech
2030: at Virginia Tech
2031: Nebraska
2032: at Alabama
2033: Alabama
