Arizona safety Tristan Cooper discusses El Paso shooting and football things
Arizona Wildcats safety Tristan Cooper was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, where on Saturday a gunman killed 22 people and wounded dozens of others at a Walmart that Cooper has often frequented.
Cooper said he was shaken when he learned of the news after Saturday’s scrimmage, but fortunately his family, all of who still live in El Paso, are OK.
The senior talked about that and some football things after Monday’s practice, including his improvement as a safety, his relationship with defensive coordinator Marcel Yates, Scottie Young Jr.’s leadership, Jamarye Joiner’s emergence at receiver, and more.
