Early Enrollee: Yes

Brandon’s thoughts: Gunnell is a game-changing quarterback, no doubt. He broke numerous records this past season, both in Texas and even nationally, and that is something that can’t be overlooked. His vision and accuracy all over the field is already at a high level. Everyone knows how great his passing game is, but another aspect of his game that improved, mainly out of necessity, is his running ability. He is a pro-style QB, but that doesn’t mean that he is static in the pocket. He proved this season that he is incredibly mobile and dangerous with his legs. He has the ability to gain large chunks of yardage on the ground and is faster than one would think. He will be playing in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5 and enrolling at Arizona the next day.

Gabe’s Thoughts: Gunnell is the future of Arizona. I think he’s a guy who can turn the program around and become a national sensation when all is done. He can eventually put Arizona in primetime games, lead one of the most potent passing attacks in the nation and become the Will Grier of Arizona. Everything about him is so smooth. He can make all the throws and has some mobility to him. Hopefully this isn’t a quarterback that Kevin Sumlin mismanages, as he was known to do at Texas A&M.

Grant’s thoughts on being a Wildcat: “I’m pumped, I can’t wait!”

Season Highlights:

Favorite Food: “Tex Mex for sure. Classic chicken and cheese quesadillas with queso dip.”

Favorite Music Artist: “Andre 3000.”

Hobbies: “Bowling, though I am not very good (laughs).”

Favorite Sports Team/Pro Athlete: “My favorite team is the (Detroit) Lions but my favorite player right now is Kirk Cousins.”

Biggest supporter throughout your career: “My family has for sure.”

What you love most about playing football: “The bond with the team and the feeling of going and winning with your team is incomparable.”

Major: “Business. I was really impressed (with Eller College) on my official visit.”
