Brandon’s thoughts: This is a huge win for Demetrice Martin and Arizona. USC was making a very hard, late push for Roland. They even had him out for an official visit. But in the end his relationship with Martin paid off.

He is an extremely dynamic playmaker. He can pretty much play any skill position on the field, on both offense and defense. He is coming in as a corner, but I can see him also moving to safety if needed.

He makes plays on the ball regularly and has great awareness not to get pass interference calls but still make the play.

Oh and if need be, he can return punts and kickoffs.

I’m excited about his future in Tucson.

Gabe’s thoughts: I really wish that he would be moving to wide receiver. His film is similar to Cam Denson when he’s on offense, creating explosive plays by zigging across field or burning down the sideline.

The secondary is just too deep right. Corner has Bobby Wolfe and Maurice Gaines, with McKenzie Barnes in there as well. Christian Young and Troy Young could also stick around the position.

And if he moves to safety, which I think would be his second best position, that is literally Arizona’s deepest position. It’s just really hard to see where he falls in line with a lot of guys already on the roster.

He’s versatile, and it’s inpressive that the staff could keep him away from USC, but I just don’t see enough to have him at corner.

He would make for an excellent receiver.
