The ‘Cats are in a really good spotfor the Los Angeles-area talent
The Arizona Wildcats received some good news on the recruiting trail Tuesday night when 4-star cornerback Mykael Wright released his Top 8 schools.
Arizona made the cut and is in quite the company, joining Alabama, Washington, USC, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon, and Arizona State on Wright’s short list.

The major work being put in is coming from new Arizona cornerbacks coach Demetrice Martin. There is also no doubt that Sumlin himself has been recruiting Wright as well. Martin said earlier this spring that Sumlin is very hands on in recruiting, and that is a very good thing for UA.
Wright, from Valencia, California, is the fourth-ranked cornerback in the 2019 class and 45th-ranked player nationally, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
His junior highlights are below.
