Kaleb Tarczewski nearing extension with Olimpia Milano, per report
The former Wildcat is in his second season with the Italian club
It looks like Kaleb Tarczewski will be staying overseas for a while.
The former Arizona Wildcat is close to signing an extension with Italian club Olimpia Milano through the 2020 season, according to the Italian newsletter Spicchi d’Arancia (via Sportando).
Tarczewski, 25, is currently in his second season with Milano, which won the Italian Cup in 2016-17.
This year, the 7-footer has started in 33 of 36 games, averaging 7.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks on 67 percent shooting in 19.9 minutes per contest.
The New Hampshire native participated in NBA Summer League last July, but did not do enough to earn a spot in the Association. Right around that time, Milano opted to exercise its option to keep Tarczewski.
In 2016-17, Tarczewski appeared in 43 games with the G League’s Oklahoma City Blue where he averaged 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 63 percent from the field.
He then joined Milano later that season, and now figures to be there for several more years.
