2017 MLB Draft results: Arizona LHP Cameron Ming selected in 14th round by Baltimore Orioles
This will be an interesting decision to watch
After filling just about every pitching role possible for the Arizona Wildcats the last two years, junior LHP Cameron Ming was selected in the 14th round by the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.

Ming ended up leading the team in ERA this year, posting a 2.78 mark in 77 2⁄3 innings pitched. He held opponents to a .240 opponent batting average, but did also hit a team-high 12 batters.
There’s definitely a decision to be made by Ming here. 14th round isn’t bad for someone with his skillset, but he could roll the dice and return to Arizona for his senior year to try and improve his draft stock. Seniors do have a better chance of being drafted in the first ten rounds, as we saw with James Farris who went from a 15th round pick in 2013 up to a 9th round pick in 2014.
It could all come down to what the Orioles are able to offer him after all of their top signings become official.
Congrats to Cameron on being drafted. Now we wait and see what he decides to do.
