Arizona football recruiting: Three-star safety Armani Adams verbally commits to Wildcats

Arizona lands a Florida prospect

On Thursday, the Arizona Wildcats landed their sixth commitment of the 2018 class when three-star safety Armani Adams tweeted out his verbal pledge to the red and blue.

Adams hails from Lakewood HS in Saint Petersburg, FL, and is ranked as the composite 103rd best safety prospect in the entire 2018 class.

According to 247 Sports, Arizona was one of six offers that Adams holds. The other schools are: USF, Toledo, Bowling Green, Buffalo, South Alabama, and UMass.

In ten games as a high school junior, Adams picked up 76 total tackles, 14 for loss. He also had three sacks, three interceptions, and five pass deflections.

You can check out some of his highlights from last season here.

He becomes the third defensive player of this particular recruiting class, and the first from East of Tucson. In the past, this has typically been the time of year that Arizona lands a plethora of verbal commitments, so this could just be the beginning of a busy couple months.
