Sonoran Hot Reads: Braxton Burmeister receives Oregon offer

Should Arizona fans be worried?

There’s a ton of uncertainty surrounding the Arizona Wildcats’ 2017 recruiting class, so fans get worried at each little thing that comes down. Well, this one’s not so little, as quarterback commit Braxton Burmeister received an offer from the new Oregon coaching staff on Tuesday night. What really works in Arizona’s favor is that Burmeister is scheduled to move to Tucson on Sunday, and begin school in the spring semester. If anything happens, it will have to happen quickly

- You should also expect Nathan Tilford to enroll early. Brandon talked to Jose Ramirez, who is also planning on being in Tucson for the spring semester

- Adrian Ealy, a four-star offensive tackle, will choose between Arizona, LSU, and Oklahoma on Thursday morning. He would also be an early enrollee

- According to UniAuthority, Arizona had the best military appreciation uniforms last year

- There seems to have been discussions about a Pac-12/Big 12 Challenge in football. Arizona already has Texas Tech and Kansas State scheduled for future years

- After receiving a targeting ejection in the Rose Bowl, USC’s Cam Smith will miss the first half of the Trojans’ opener next year. What does this mean for Arizona? Jarvis McCall should miss the first half of the 2017 opener as well after being ejected for targeting in the second half of the ASU game

- We take a look back at how former Arizona players did in the final week of the NFL’s regular season. The list doesn’t include Tom Savage, but maybe it should since he did attend Arizona. However, he won’t be active for the Texans this week

- Mark Melancon has joined the Players’ Tribune team with his piece on joining the Giants and a fun Hunter Pence doing yoga story. Buster Olney has Melancon ranked as the 6th-best reliever in the game right now
