College basketball rankings: Arizona up to 17th in AP and Coaches Polls

Jumping up a spot

After finishing a road sweep of the Bay Area schools, the Arizona Wildcats have moved up ever-so-slightly in this week’s college basketball polls.

Arizona is now ranked 17th in the AP Poll and in the Coaches Poll.

Here’s a look at the full AP Poll:

Interestingly enough, Arizona jumps over Butler, as well as Purdue and Indiana, while getting leapfrogged by Florida State and another Pac-12 team.

With the Oregon Ducks beating the UCLA Bruins in dramatic fashion on Wednesday, the Ducks jump up to No. 15 while the Bruins slide down to No. 4. The USC Trojans also remain ranked, checking in at No. 25 after getting blown out by Oregon.

USC is 26th in the Coaches Poll now, and the only other team in the conference receiving votes is Cal. The Bears are tied for 30th in the Coaches Poll, but are not receiving votes in the AP Poll.

Arizona returns to action on Thursday when they host the Utah Utes for an 8 PM MT battle on Fox Sports 1.
