Arizona football recruiting: Wildcat target Adrian Ealy announcing decision Thursday
Will the Wildcats land one of the top offensive lineman?
The Arizona Wildcats will find out on Thursday if one of the top offensive line prospects in the country will be coming to Tucson in 2017.
Adrian Ealy, a four-star on 247’s Composite Rankings, announced on Twitter that he will be announcing his college decision around 11 AM PT on Thursday. Three weeks ago, he told SEC Country that LSU, Arizona, and Oklahoma are the three finalists.
Ealy, who is listed as 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, is the 266th-ranked overall recruit in this year’s class, and is the 29th-best offensive tackle. It’s also worth noting that he doesn’t even turn 18 for another seven months.
His official visit to The University of Arizona occurred on December 9th at the end of a string of visits he took. The Tucson visit added the Wildcats to his list of finalists, replacing the Miami Hurricanes in his top three.
Oklahoma has been the favorite for a while to land Ealy, but after not committing to the Sooners in November like many believed he thought he would, there has been a prevailing thought that LSU and new Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron will bring him in.
The decision will be made via a Bleacher Report video that will be released Thursday. Ealy is also an early enrollee, so he will be attending the school he chooses this spring in preparation for his first fall at the college level.
Offensive line was Arizona’s biggest weakness in 2016, so adding a piece like this would certainly be a welcome addition to the group.
