Arizona basketball: How to watch the Red-Blue Game
Yes, you can watch it live at home if you’re not in McKale
Most years, the Arizona Wildcats’ Red-Blue scrimmage is shown on tape delay since it’s typically played during a college football Saturday.
This year is much different though, as the game will be taking place on Friday night, and will be broadcast live.
Here’s how you can watch it:
TIME: 7 PM PT
TV: Pac-12 Networks (channel finder)
STREAMING: Pac-12.com/live or on the Pac-12 Now App on iOS or Android
Around 6 PM PT, me and Ryan Kelapire will likely be going live from McKale Center on our Facebook page to chat about basketball things and take your questions, so join us for that as well.
As for a complete events schedule for Friday night’s broadcast, here’s the timeline we received from Athletics:
- 7:01 PM PT: Lights out/Intro video
- 7:02:30: Player intros (Current team followed by 1997 National Championship Team)
- 7:07: Team photo
- 7:08: National Anthem
- 7:10: Sean Miller addresses the crowd
- 7:11: Player warmup
- 7:15: Dunk contest and scrimmage begin (Comprised of two (2), twelve (12) minute halves with regular game conditions/rules. Halftime will be approximately 15:00 minutes in length, and the 1997 players will be honored. Media timeouts will occur at the under 8:00 and under 4:00 mark for each half. Additional timeout will be taken prior to the start of the second half.)
- Postgame: Arizona will recognize Miles Simon’s jersey in a special presentation
