Terrance Ferguson verbally commits to the Arizona Wildcats

Ferguson is Arizona's fourth 5-star commit in its 2016 recruiting class

The Arizona Wildcats continue to dominate the recruiting trail, this time picking up a commitment from 2016 5-star guard/forward Terrance Ferguson on Wednesday.

Ferguson, ranked as the 15th-best prospect in 247Sports' National Composite list, is the fourth member of the Wildcats' 2016 recruiting class, and all four members -- Ferguson, Rawle Alkins, Kobi Simmons, and Lauri Marrkanen -- are 5-star prospects.

It gives Arizona the No. 3 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports' metrics.

The product from Dallas' Advanced Preparatory International is listed at 6-foot-7, 180 pounds, and is known to be a terrific shooter with bouncy athleticism, making him a threat to score in transition. He also has the tools to guard multiple positions, given his quickness and 6-foot-8 wingspan. His weaknesses are said to be his inability to put the ball on the floor, and his lack of strength.

He should be able to play both the 2 and the 3 for Arizona, while providing much-needed athleticism on the perimeter, which was sorely lacking this past season.

Ferguson decommitted from Alabama in early March, and Arizona had been in hot pursuit of him ever since. He was both a McDonald's All-American and a participant in the Nike Hoops Summit. There, he hit seven 3s, breaking the competition's previous record.

Ferguson chose Arizona over Baylor, Kansas, North Carolina, N.C. State, and others.
