Sonoran Hot Reads: Scooby Wright on Washington's radar?
This seems bad
As we are now less than a week from the start of the NFL Draft, it's time to wonder how long it'll take until we hear Scooby Wright's name called. While teams aren't likely to tell the truth about anything, the Washington Post took a look at their local team's needs, and wonders if they'll use a mid-round pick on the former Arizona Wildcats linebacker. There are probably a lot of teams looking at Wright in the third round area, but let's hope for his sake that he doesn't end up playing for that disaster of a franchise
- Here's another Scooby Wright thing. It's a great video profile from Sports Illustrated. We'll have a Scooby profile sometime this weekend
- Like it or not, there's going to be talk of a quarterback battle at Arizona this summer and fall, because Rich Rodriguez says so
- Former NFL player and Heisman winner Eddie George is performing in a Broadway play at Centennial Hall this weekend
Basketball
- Arizona offered four-star 2017 guard Brandon Randolph
- The Warriors lost a playoff game on Thursday. There was a no-hitter in MLB. The last time the Warriors lost a playoff game (June 9th, 2015), there was also an MLB no-hitter. Spooky
Baseball
- Baseball plays at Cal this weekend
- Joey Rickard hit a ball and it did a magic act in Josh Donaldson's glove
Other sports
- Track and field is splitting up for three different competitions this weekend
Tucson news
- In honor of Prince, the Tucson Spectrum 18 will be having showings of Purple Rain this weekend
- It's been four years since Isabel Celis disappeared, and her parents are incredibly frustrated with law enforcement and their inability to get anything done
- Kartchner Caverns is apparently the best cave in the country
