Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona's recruiting class ranked third for fifth time in six years
Sean Miller's pretty good at bringing in players
If there's one thing that all Arizona Wildcats fans can agree on, it's that Sean Miller is elite when it comes to bringing the top high school talent to Tucson. SB Nation's Ricky O'Donnell broke down Arizona's recruiting class rankings over the last six years, and guess what, they've been exactly third in five of those years. In four of those five years, it's been Kentucky and Duke that have outdone Sean Miller and Co. It's also amusing that the one year they weren't third, they were 11th, but that class had Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Yeah, Miller's pretty good at this part of being a head coach
- In other recruiting news, Rawle Alkins ended the suspense by sending in his NLI on Monday night. He enjoyed Arizona fans freaking out about the delay
- Arizona is also in pursuit of some grad transfers...most notably, UNLV's Ben Carter, plus local product Talbott Denny
- Andre Iguodala said the first half against the Rockets was like playing a scrimmage in practice, so good job Houston? The Warriors won 115-106, with Iggy scoring 18 points in 32 minutes
- Did Phil Jackson talk to Luke Walton about coaching the Knicks? They all say no
Football
- A new marketing campaign is coming at you. We'll have more on this later on Tuesday
- I think ESPN pretty much nailed the top ten players on this year's roster
- Calvin Magee was the latest assistant to be mic'd up
- Gabe recapped a busy weekend for the coaching staff as they hosted Junior Day. Of course Donte Williams was in L.A. recruiting
Ultimately, Scooby lacks the height/weight/length/speed/flexibility of an NFL starter. Like his motor/instincts, don't like his chances.

- A few Arizona commits were selected for the Perfect Game National Showcase. Roman Phansalkar and Jacob Blas were among them. I've already written about Phansalkar, and I'll have more on Blas later this week
- Two former Wildcats were named to the Pac-12 All-Century team. They both happen to be current MLB managers. They are Chip Hale and Terry Francona
Softball
- Joelle Krist was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week
Other sports
- The club men's soccer team will play FC Tucson on May 4th. $2 beers, so might be a good time. FC Tucson is also playing ASU a week earlier, and if you wear UA gear to the game, you get cheaper tickets
- Haley Moore is leading the Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships after day one, and Arizona as a team is in fourth
- Here are some of the best pictures from the week. Lotta tennis in there
