Arizona football recruiting: Breaking down 3-star running back commit Tyliek Raynor
Arizona is going to have plenty of running backs to work with going forward.
The first commit of the weekend was Tyliek Raynor, a 5-10 185lb 3-star running back out of Imhotep Institute (Philadelphia, PA). I never got a chance to speak with Raynor, so I didn't have nearly as much information on him throughout his short recruiting process.
He received an offer from Arizona back on May 27th, and held offers to Iowa, Maryland, Miami and West Virginia, among others. Most signs did point to Arizona, reading through articles, various tweets and keeping up with 247Sport's Crystal Ball, but I wasn't fully confident myself to say there was a strong chance the Arizona Wildcats would land him.
With a gain of salt, he has a lot of similar qualities as Ka'Deem Carey, excelling between the tackles and exploding through the gap. He also has the speed to bounce it outside without losing any ground, typically staying as a north and south runner.
I'm a big fan of Raynor and think he can fit into the system, and not just at running back, but also as a slot receiver if necessary. His shiftiness will go a long way for Rich Rodriguez. It'll be interesting to see how the running backs break down in this recruiting class. With four running backs in this class, I'll have a breakdown later this week of each one and how they fit into the system, ranking them in order.
Rich Rodriguez is proving that, not only can he attract different types of running backs and offensive playmakers, but also recruits from all across the nation. We've seen a lot of guys from the east coast come over now, most notably Florida, Maryland, Louisiana and now Pennsylvania. There seems to be some Philly love between Raynor and senior safety William Parks, as Raynor tweeted this out shortly after his commitment.

Arizona has a lot of running backs to look forward to in the coming years, with four new running backs coming in 2016, on top of a few guys Arizona brings in this year as freshmen.
