Arizona football recruiting: JJ Taylor commits to Wildcats

The second running back of the day

After running back Tyliek Raynor committed Saturday afternoon, the Arizona Wildcats picked up a second running back commitment from JJ Taylor.

Taylor told our Gabe Encinas earlier this week that he would commit to Arizona after his visit this weekend, and now it has become true.

JJ Taylor is small, checking in at just 5-6 and 155 pounds. He becomes the 10th player of the 2016 Arizona recruiting class, and the fourth(!) running back. Even though he is small, 247 has him ranked as the 20th-best all-purpose back in the country, and the 107th-best prospect out of the state of California.

The new Arizona commit also had offers from Washington State, Nevada, Ohio, and a few schools from the Big Sky Conference as well. Most big schools probably shied away from him because of his lack of size.
