Arizona football countdown: 47 days, and 47 yards of amazing vs. Cal

Never forget

September 20th, 2014 will be one of those days that Arizona Wildcats fans will likely never forget, assuming they were still up, or hadn't left Arizona Stadium yet.

I had the privilege of watching the final five minutes of that game vs. Cal from the Golden Bears' sideline, and man, the last 47 yards Arizona gained in those five minutes will define the program for a long time to come.

Without that rally, Arizona loses its first conference game of the season, after struggling to beat the likes of UTSA and Nevada in the couple weeks prior. With that rally, and that Anu Solomon pass to Austin Hill, the Wildcats went on to win the Pac-12 South and ultimately a bid to the Fiesta Bowl. Cal finished 3-6 in conference, and 5-7 overall.

There's never really a bad time to remember the "Hill Mary", but with 47 days left until the season opener, today is an especially good day to remember it.
