Arizona football: Anu Solomon, Nick Wilson each join second preseason award watch list

Arizona could have one of the best offensive trios in the country

After being named to the Maxwell Award watch list last week, it should come as no surprise that Arizona Wildcats players Anu Solomon and Nick Wilson were both named to their individual position award watch lists on Thursday.

Solomon was tabbed for the Davey O'Brien award, while Nick Wilson finds himself on the Doak Walker award watch list. This comes just a day after Cayleb Jones was named to the Biletnikoff watch list, which gives Arizona a shot at having the best offensive trio that the school has certainly ever seen, and could be one of the best in the country.

The key to success for all three of these guys will be health, as they were all dealing with various injuries throughout the 2014 season, which may have hindered their performance, especially towards the end of the season.

Solomon had the most passing yards of any freshman in college football last year, finishing the season with 3,793. Wilson was fourth nationally amongst freshmen in total yards, and was tops in the Pac-12.

This could be a record-setting season for offense at Arizona, and having these three guys on preseason award watch lists just solidifies that notion.
