Arizona commit Jabari Watson felt 'great connection' with coaching staff

Jabari Watson commits to Arizona without even stepping foot on campus

Arizona landed some great news Wednesday night, as 3-star defensive tackle Jabari Watson announced his verbal commitment to The University of Arizona.

He announced on Monday via Twitter that he would be committing on Wednesday. Since then, he had me thinking he was going Boise State. I had spoke to him earlier last week and didn't get a strong Arizona vibe from him. I got a chance to catch up with him after his commitment about how he came to the decision, a decision he made without even visiting the campus.

Arizona recruits are constantly raving about how great the coaching staff is. They make them feel comfortable, wanted, and a part of something great. It was the persistence of the Arizona coaches that really won Jabari Watson over. "The way the coaching staff stayed on me, talking to me," Watson said about his decision to commit to Arizona.

It was the duo of Miguel Reveles and Jim Michalczik that made Watson so comfortable. "I just had a great connection with them. I hit it off with them from the get-go," Watson said about his relationship with the coaches.

Watson still hasn't finalized an official visit to finally see the campus for the first time. "I can't wait to set one up," Watson said about visiting. He'll be looking forward to two things when he arrives. "See the campus and be out there with the coaches."

Watson is now the seventh commitment for Arizona's 2016 recruiting class, third on defense, second on the defensive line. The recruiting class now jumps up to No. 62 in the nation. Expect July to be a huge month for Arizona recruiting, and for the class start climbing the ranks.
