Arizona football recruiting: Coaching staff relationships key for recruitment of Michael Eletise

Relationships are pivotal in the recruiting process for Michael Eletise

It's clear to see that Michael Eletise is one of the main priorities for Arizona's coaching staff. He comes in at 6-4 315lbs, and is ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the nation, No. 186 regardless of position. The 4-star product hails from Kaiser High School (Honolulu, HI) and holds offers to top programs including Michigan, UCLA, Washington and many others.

I got a chance to talk to Michael Eletise about Arizona and his current recruiting process.

He seems to have a good amount of interest and expressed that he really likes the coaching staff and campus. He already took an unofficial visit to Arizona this past spring. "It's amazing", Eletise said about the campus. He plans to take one of his five official visits this fall to catch a game in Tucson.

Eletise named Charlie Ragle, Jim Michalczik and Matt Dudek as the coaches taking care of his recruiting process, and noted that both Ragle and Michalczik flew out to Hawaii to meet with him. "Coach Ragle is the most encouraging coach I have ever met and Coach Dudek is my guy. Dudek is so funny and really goes out of his way to make me feel welcomed and wanted."

Arizona is very lucky to have a personality such as Matt Dudek as recruiting coordinator. He's definitely had a few tricks up his sleeves, as we've seen before, particularly in the recruitment of Eletise. "You take the encouragement of Coach Ragle and the enthusiasm of Coach Dudek - that is a hard combo to beat anywhere", Eletise said about the staff.

Arizona has some key building blocks on the offensive line. 2014 Freshman All-American Jacob Alsadek gets the addition of the size of 2015 commit Keenan Walker, Jordan Poland and California transfer Freddie Tagaloa. These guys will certainly give Arizona one of the best offensive lines in the Pac-12 going forward.

Add the depth at quarterback of Anu Solomon, and three future 4-star quarterback commits in Khalil Tate, Devon Modster and Braxton Burmeister. The depth at receiver, alongside the most explosive running back in college football, Nick Wilson, and this could turn into one deadliest offenses in the nation with a commitment from Eletise.
