Arizona basketball recruiting: 2016 5-star forward V.J. King cuts list to five schools, Arizona is included

Could he be the second piece to Sean Miller's 2016 recruiting class?

The only member of the Arizona Wildcats' 2016 recruiting class so far is T.J. Leaf. Obviously Sean Miller is looking to add to it, and one possible addition could be 5-star forward V.J. King. King recently cut his list of potential landing spots to five, and Arizona is included:

The 6-6 wing currently attends Paul VI High School, but used to attend St. Vincent-St. Mary High School (the same high school that LeBron James went to). 247Sports.com has King ranked as the 15th best prospect in his class, and ESPN has him ranked 18th.

King's strengths are his length, athleticism, and finishing ability. He has a quick first step that allows him to get into the paint at will, and has the bounce to finish above the rim.

His jump shot isn't quite at the same level as his ability to get into the paint, but his form is pretty smooth and he should continue to improve in that area.

Sean Miller has had success with wings similar to King in the past, but it won't be easy to land him. Other high-level programs such as the Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Connecticut Huskies, and Virginia Cavaliers are also in the mix. And since he's from the midwest, you'd have to figure that Arizona might be at somewhat of a disadvantage seeing that the other schools are much closer to him.

However, Miller has shown time after time that he can land recruits from the midwest and east coast, so it wouldn't be that surprising if King decides to come out to the desert.

Here are some of his highlight videos from his junior season:
