The worlds of basketball and hip hop often intersect, with many luminaries from one industry occasionally making a foray into the other.

Same goes for their offspring.

Hercy Miller, a point guard from Minneapolis who is also the son of rapper Master P, has released a top seven that includes the Arizona Wildcats.

Howard, LSU, Minnesota, Missouri, UCF and UCLA are the other schools making the cut for the 6-foot-3 Miller, a 2021 prospect who also has offers from USC, Western Kentucky and Morgan State. Originally from Los Angeles, Miller is not currently included in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2021 recruiting class.

If Miller were to play for Arizona he would be at least the second relative of a hip hop artist to play in the Pac-12 in recent memory. Jay-Z’s nephew, Nahziah Carter, will be a senior at Washington this season.

Master P—real name Percy Miller—signed NBA contracts with the Charlotte Hornets in 1998 and Toronto Raptors in 1999, appearing for each team during the preseason, and also played for teams in the CBA, ABA and International Basketball League between 1999-2004.

Arizona currently has one commitment for 2021 in 4-star California combo guard K.J. Simpson.
