No, this isn’t a repeat post.
The Arizona Wildcats are a finalist for another five-star point guard, this time Aaliyah Gayles, who’s the No. 11 player and No. 4 point guard in the 2022 class, according to ESPN’s rankings.

Unlike most of the elite prospects Arizona has been recruiting, Gayles hails from the West. She attends Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas.
The 5-foot-9 Gayles made Nevada’s All-State team after averaging 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
“Explosively athletic lead-guard with a scorer’s mentality in the back court,” ESPN writes of her. “Superb in the uptempo game, tough to contain in the open court, best in attacking the basket; super-quick off the dribble, torches defenders with 1 on 1 creativity; emerging consistent perimeter game is the key to next level impact; a speed merchant.”
The Wildcats are also in the mix for No. 1 point guard Kiki Rice and No. 1 shooting guard KK Bransford.
Coaches have only been allowed to contact 2022 prospects since the beginning of September, and Adia Barnes is clearly killing it so far.
