Arizona in the NBA Playoffs: Andre Iguodala limited as Heat fall to Celtics in Game 3 of Eastern Conference Finals
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Andre Iguodala played through a back injury, but the Miami Heat lost to the Boston Celtics 117-106 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday.
Miami still holds a 2-1 series lead, needing just two more wins to advance to the NBA Finals.
Iguodala played just seven minutes (none in the second half), logging two rebounds and missing his lone field-goal attempt, a 3-pointer from the wing.
The Celtics led wire-to-wire, carrying a 17-point lead into the fourth quarter. Former Cal standout Jaylen Brown led Boston with 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting.
The Heat were led by 27 points and 16 rebounds from former Kentucky big man Bam Adebayo.
Former Arizona Wildcats star Solomon Hill still hasn’t made his playoff debut for the Heat.
What’s next?
Game 4 is not until Wednesday, Sept. 23. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. MST on ESPN.
What they’re saying about Arizona’s guys on social media
Spo said Jimmy Butler and Andre Iguodala weren’t in at the end because “we wanted something quick.”

Andre Iguodala’s IQ on defense is something else. Constantly moving.

I wonder if this is related to Andre Iguodala having a sore back. This is usually his spot, then Olynyk spots Adebayo some rest. Haven't seen Iguodala yet. https://t.co/3Hg8OWU8JI

Andre Iguodala hair cut (or lack thereof) got him looking like the star of a western movie, where an overworked small farm owner goes to battle against a greedy land baron in the middle of a severe drought.

Kendrick nunn is so bad. Why does Spo play him still?!?!?!??? I'd rather have Solomon Hill
