Former Arizona Wildcats forward Ryan Luther saw his chance at a six-figure pay day come to an end Saturday as Herd That was eliminated in The Basketball Tournament quarterfinals, falling to Overseas Elite 93-76.
Luther scored 11 points and recorded four rebounds in 19 minutes of action off the bench.
Herd That, a group made up of mostly former Marshall players, had no answer for Overseas Elite’s Joe Johnson. The seven-time NBA All-Star dropped 35 points, including five 3-pointers, along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Overseas Elite advances to the semifinals of the TBT. The winning team earns a $1 million prize divvied up among players, coaches and general manager.
Arizona guard Kyle Fogg led Overseas Elite to four consecutive TBT championships from 2015-2018. Fogg twice won tournament MVP.
Fogg is competing in the Chinese Basketball Association’s season restart, forcing him to skip this year’s TBT.
