A pair of former Arizona Wildcats are headed to South Florida
It turns out the Miami Heat added not one but two former Arizona Wildcats at the trade deadline.
In a six-player trade that landed them Andre Iguodala from the Grizzlies, they also acquired Memphis forward Solomon Hill.
There were some rumblings that the Heat would look to flip Hill in a deal for Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari but that did not come to fruition by the 3 p.m. EST deadline.
Hill, 28, has had a solid season to this point, averaging 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game while shooting 38.1 percent from 3, serving as a quality 3-and-D option off the bench.
The former first-round pick is in the final year of a four-year, $48 million deal he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans, who dealt him to Memphis this summer.
The Heat are 34-16, good for fourth in the Eastern Conference. Miami also acquired Jae Crowder in the deal while shipping out James Johnson, Justise Winslow, and Dion Waiters.
