Zeke Nnaji named to Karl Malone Award watch list

There are no Arizona Wildcats in the running for the Wooden Award given to college basketball’s best overall player, but at least one has made the short list for being the best at their position.
Freshman Zeke Nnaji has made the 10-player watch list for the Karl Malone Award, given to the sport’s best power forward.

Nnaji leads Arizona in scoring (16.2 points per game), rebounding (8.8) and field goal percentage (62.4). In Pac-12 play he’s averaging 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds on 52.9 percent shooting.
He is one of two Pac-12 players on the list, along with Colorado’s Tyler Bey.
