Jason Terry to explore pro and college coaching opportunities, per report
Jason Terry spent his first year away from the NBA coaching girls’ basketball at the AAU level, and apparently he is ready to take a step forward in his career.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Terry is exploring coaching opportunities at the collegiate and professional level.

Terry, 41, is currently the President, CEO, and head coach of the Texas Elite Lady Jets in the Dallas metropolitan area, a position he held even when he was still playing.
Terry never officially retired from the NBA but he said last December that he had played his last game in the association unless the Dallas Mavericks or Los Angeles Lakers gave him a call.
His playing days aren’t completely over though, as he is one of the captains in the Big 3.
The former Arizona Wildcat averaged 13.4 points per over 19 seasons in the NBA, including stints with the Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks.
A prolific combo guard, Terry won a championship with the Mavericks in 2011 and was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2009.
Before his NBA days, Terry spent four seasons at Arizona. He was the Pac-12 Player of the Year and consensus All-American as a senior in 1999, and came off the bench for the 1997 national championship team.
His No. 31 jersey is retired by the UA.
Other former Wildcats who have taken the plunge into the coaching industry include but are not limited to: Miles Simon (Lakers), Luke Walton (Kings), Jason Gardner (IUPUI), Damon Stoudamire (Pacific), Steve Kerr (Warriors), Bruce Fraser (Warriors), Joseph Blair (Sixers), Bret Brielmaier (Nets), Matt Brase (Rockets), and Mike Bibby (formerly at Shadow Mountain High School).
