Allonzo Trier continues to shine with Knicks, drops 25 points in win vs. Nets
It was always thought that Allonzo Trier could benefit from the increased spacing in the NBA, and it’s proving to be true.
The former Wildcat continued his hot start with the New York Knicks on Wednesday, dropping 25 points in 26 minutes in a 107-102 win against the Brooklyn Nets. Trier was 8-of-12 from the field, 8-of-8 from the charity stripe and 1-of-3 from behind the arc. He scored 20 of his 25 points in the first half.
Check out the highlights:
This came two days after he had 13 points on seven shots in 21 minutes against the Washington Wizards. Two of those points came via this filthy series of dribble moves:

While it is only the preseason, it’s a promising start to Trier’s pro career. He signed a two-way contract with the Knicks after going undrafted, meaning he will split time between the G League and NBA this season.
But based on early returns, it probably won’t be long before he becomes a mainstay in the league.
