5-star prospect Josh Green set to visit Arizona in October

Will be in town for Red-Blue scrimmage

The second weekend of October won’t just be the first chance for Arizona Wildcats fans to see this year’s edition of the men’s basketball team. It will also be an opportunity for Sean Miller and his staff to give some high-profile recruits an up-close look at what the program has to offer.

Per 247Sports’ Josh Daniels, 5-star wing Josh Green has scheduled an official visit to Tucson on Oct. 12. Assuming he sticks around until Sunday he will be in town for Arizona’s annual Red-Blue scrimmage.

The 6-foot-6 Green is rated by 247Sports as the No. 9 player in the 2019 recruiting class and the second-best small forward. Originally from Australia he plays his high school ball at IMG Academy in Florida and this summer was on the West Coast Elite travel team that also features 5-star point guard Nico Mannion.

Mannion is also scheduled to visit Arizona during the Red-Blue game, as is 5-star forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Green’s teammate at IMG. Mannion’s visit will be unofficial as he has his official visit planned for Oct. 19-21.

Arizona currently does not have a commitment for the 2019 class.
