5-star PG Josiah James has Arizona in Final 9

James is the top point guard in his class

The Arizona Wildcats are in the mix for five-star point guard Josiah James.

The 2019 prospect released his Final 9 on Saturday and Arizona was included along with Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida State, Virginia, and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-6 James is the No. 1 point guard in his class and the No. 12 overall prospect, per 247Sports composite rankings. He is from Charleston, South Carolina which likely presents a geographical disadvantage for Arizona.

Six of seven Crystal Ball predictions believe he is Duke-bound. The other predicts he will land at Michigan State.

Arizona does not have a 2019 commit yet, but it appears to be in good shape to land five-star point guard Nico Mannion, who is likely to reclassify from 2020 to 2019.
