Jordan Brown takes third unofficial visit to Nevada, still has one official visit left

This isn’t the worst news for Arizona

Saturday was a puzzling day in Jordan Brown’s recruitment.

The five-star forward was scheduled to officially visit the Nevada Wolf Pack this weekend, but those plans were called off.

Yet, Brown was on campus anyway, posting this photo from UNR on Saturday:

So, what’s the deal? Well, it turns out Brown was taking an unofficial visit to Nevada — the third time he has done so (he is from Roseville, California so it’s not far from home).

Brown’s three finalists are Nevada, Cal, and the Arizona Wildcats, and while him unofficially visiting UNR (again) might not bode well for Arizona, it’s not the worst news because it means he still has his fifth, and final, official visit at his disposal.

That means there is still a chance Arizona can still get him on campus (officially) before he picks a school, which should happen within the next week or two, Brown’s father told Adam Zagoria.

The McDonald’s All-American is the No. 17 player in the 2018 class, so he would be a tremendous addition to Arizona’s frontcourt. And the Wildcats’ recruiting pitch is surely more intriguing now that it has a commitment from four-star point guard Brandon Williams.

So we’ll see if Arizona can continue to make a push in Brown’s recruitment. This tweet by 247Sports recruiting analyst Evan Daniels sure does provide some optimism:

Why? The Wildcats’ recruiting class currently ranks 21st in the country. If they add Brown? It would rank 7th.
